German translation

Kann bitte jemand diese grottige Google-Translate-Plakette wieder mit der eigens erarbeiteten (und mit der mit CC-Mitarbeitern ausdrücklich abgestimmten) Vorlage hier ersetzen? Ich schaue leider nicht durch, wo das zu tun ist und bin sicher, daß ich dafür auch nicht die nötigen Rechte habe. Finnish translation

This template uses the Finnish translation "Sinun tulee nimetä työ tekijän tai lisensoijan määräämällä tavalla" which means "You must name the work as stated by the author or the licensor". But naming the work is not what the license controls, only attributing the author/licensor. The translation at http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/deed.fi should be used instead: "Teoksen tekijä on ilmoitettava siten kuin tekijä tai teoksen lisensoija on sen määrännyt". Invoke module directly

{{Editprotected}} Template:SDC_statement_has_value is a simple wrapper around the module Module:SDC_tracking. Please change SDC_statement_has_value to #invoke:SDC_tracking|SDC_statement_has_value to invoke the module directly.

This template is one of the most heavily used templates (listed on Special:Mostlinkedtemplates with 10 million transclusions). MediaWiki tracks all templates transcluded on a page, so we should avoid unnecessary transclusions on heavily used templates like this (see phab:T343131).

Done; according to template count, the number of transclusions (see Special:MostTranscludedPages) should go from ca. 76 million down to 66 million (unless there are a lot of files that have both this template and another CC template that wasn’t converted to directly use the module yet). Nevermind that, apparently Special:MostTranscludedPages hasn’t updated since July (no idea why). Special:Search/hastemplate:Cc-by-sa-3.0 hastemplate:"SDC_statement_has_value" currently reports 10423554 pages with both templates, though I think search results are a bit further delayed because they need not just the links update but also the subsequent search update to have happened; still, let’s see how much that goes down until tomorrow. Broken link for share-alike clause

The displayed translated messages contain broken links, using an invalid (or non-recognized) ccorg: prefix instead of creativecommons:. Notably for the text showing the "share-alike" clause (last bullet in list): no external link is rendered, we just see the wikitext (with brackets and pipe, that pipe also breaking the table layout), e.g. in French:

license identique ou compatible

currently encoded as:

[[ccorg:share-your-work/licensing-considerations/compatible-licenses|license identique ou compatible]]

The same affects other CC templates showing the descriptive text with SA clause as well e.g. Template:Cc-by-sa-3.0-migrated.

I cannot fix it because everything is admin-protected. It works here in plain wikitext pages, but not when this message is transcluded via this template and custom Lua code (which renders correctly links in other parts of the message box using creativecommons:). Can you replace the prefix alias ccorg: by creativecommons:, or fix the template or Lua code so that it recognizes the prefix alias? verdy_p (talk) 07:56, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
